Kaley and I have been roommates since the fall of 2007. At the end of the summer of 2008, while in the process of trying to decide if we should try to find a third roommate, we made the brainstorm pictured above. The brainstorm was originally titled “Kaley and Emily – Go it alone” but our neighbour Simon politely pointed out that even if we didn’t have a third roommate, neither of us would technically be alone. Hence the phrase go it alone (together) was born. Shortly thereafter we decided go it alone (together) was the perfect name our zine publishing & distro project.
